Tesla Ceramic Coating and New Tesla Paint Protection.
Ceramic coating can make a new Tesla easier to wash, easier to maintain and noticeably glossier without relying on repeated traditional wax applications.
Coatings by the Bay specializes heavily in newer vehicles. I have personally coated Tesla Model Y and Model 3 vehicles through both my Appleton-area studio and qualifying mobile installations across Wisconsin.
Every painted Tesla I coat is properly washed, decontaminated, inspected and polished before ceramic coating is installed.
And rather than filling this page with Tesla stock photography, you can scroll down and watch six actual Tesla ceramic coating projects I have completed.
Start with the question you actually have.
Why ceramic coat a new Tesla?
Ceramic coating makes the most sense when you understand what problem you are actually trying to solve.
I do not sell ceramic coating as an invisible suit of armor.
A properly installed coating gives the exterior a durable protective surface with strong hydrophobic behavior, chemical resistance and increased gloss.
More importantly for everyday ownership, normal dirt, bugs, salt, road film and environmental contamination generally become easier to clean from a properly maintained coated vehicle.
That can matter quite a bit on a Tesla being driven every day.
The goal is simpler ownership and an easier-to-maintain finish.
Does a new Tesla come with ceramic coating?
Do not assume your new Tesla already has a professional ceramic coating simply because the paint looks glossy.
A new finish can look excellent and show strong water behavior without proving that a professional long-term ceramic coating has been installed.
If a specific protection product was applied before delivery, you should be able to identify exactly what it is.
Product name, installer, preparation process and maintenance requirements matter much more than simply being told the vehicle has "paint protection."
Delivery-ready and coating-ready are not automatically the same thing.
If something has already been applied to the Tesla, tell me before the appointment so the surface can be prepared appropriately.
Proper cleaning, decontamination, polishing, final surface preparation, application and inspection all influence installation quality.
My dealership paint-protection guide explains the questions I would ask before purchasing any ceramic or appearance package offered alongside a new vehicle.
Six Tesla projects you can actually watch.
These are real customer vehicles I personally worked on. They include multiple Model Y generations, a Model Y Juniper, a Model 3, full-exterior protection, interior protection, studio installations and mobile ceramic coating.
2027 Model Y Interior + Exterior Ceramic Coating
This new Tesla Model Y received both exterior and interior ceramic protection through a qualifying mobile installation near Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
Mobile ceramic coating is completed inside a heated, fully enclosed garage supplied by the client.
I bring the lighting, polishing equipment, preparation supplies and coating equipment needed to perform the installation properly inside that space.
It is a good example of the type of owner Concierge and mobile service are designed around: new vehicle, long-term ownership plans and convenience being part of the purchase.
2026 Tesla Model Y Ceramic Coating
This new Model Y was protected through my current Appleton-area studio.
It is a straightforward example of the type of work I want this page to represent: protect the vehicle early, properly prepare the finish and make future maintenance easier.
Model Y Juniper Launch Edition Ceramic Coating
This refreshed Model Y Juniper Launch Edition is another example of protecting a Tesla while the vehicle is still new.
The Juniper may look different from the previous Model Y, but the fundamentals of a quality coating installation remain the same: preparation first, coating second.
Pearl White Model Y Full Exterior Ceramic Coating
This Pearl White Model Y received ceramic coating across the full exterior rather than stopping at painted surfaces.
It is also a useful example for owners asking whether ceramic coating is worthwhile on white Tesla paint. The benefit is not dependent on owning a black vehicle.
Deep Metallic Blue Tesla Model 3 Ceramic Coating
This Deep Metallic Blue Model 3 is one of my earlier Tesla ceramic coating installations.
Dark metallic paint also makes the gloss and finish created through proper polishing and preparation especially easy to see.
Quick Silver Tesla Model Y Ceramic Coating
This Quick Silver Model Y is another example from my Tesla installation history.
The vehicle gives a good look at ceramic coating on a lighter metallic finish where the goal is still gloss, easier maintenance and durable exterior protection.
Anyone can build a Tesla ceramic coating page. I would rather show the Model Y and Model 3 vehicles I have actually prepared and coated so you can see the work before deciding whether I am the right installer for your vehicle.
The main Coatings by the Bay gallery includes many other real customer vehicles and installation videos.
Every painted Tesla I coat gets polished first.
Polishing and paint correction are two different things.
A new Tesla does not automatically need aggressive correction. It does need proper preparation before a long-term ceramic coating.
Prep Polish
Every painted vehicle I ceramic coat receives a buffer-applied preparation polish.
This refines the finish and creates the properly prepared surface I want before final panel preparation and coating.
That applies to brand-new Teslas too.
Paint Correction
Paint correction is additional defect-removal work.
If inspection reveals swirls, scratches, haze or other visible defects that you want improved, additional correction can be discussed.
I do not automatically sell aggressive correction simply because the Tesla is getting ceramic coating.
Your Tesla has already been manufactured, transported, stored and handled before I ever see it. I inspect the actual vehicle under proper lighting rather than assuming its condition based on the odometer.
What happens before coating touches the Tesla.
Dirt and road film are removed before detailed preparation begins.
Embedded iron and appropriate contamination are addressed.
Remaining bonded contamination is safely removed.
The actual finish is evaluated under dedicated lighting.
Every painted surface being coated is professionally polished.
Additional defect removal is performed only when appropriate.
Polishing residue and oils are removed before coating.
Coating is installed on the surfaces included in your package.
The vehicle is inspected again before the job is complete.
Model Y gets most of the attention, but the process is not limited to one Tesla.
Vehicle size and exterior configuration change, but the fundamentals remain the same: prepare the surfaces correctly, choose the coverage you want and maintain the coating reasonably afterward.
Model Y Ceramic Coating
Model Y is currently the Tesla platform represented most heavily in my ceramic coating portfolio.
I have examples spanning several model years, exterior colors, full-exterior packages and a mobile interior/exterior installation.
Watch My Model Y Projects →Model Y Juniper Ceramic Coating
The refreshed Model Y Juniper still benefits from the same fundamentals: proper new-car preparation, polishing, ceramic coating and realistic aftercare.
Watch the Juniper Installation →Model 3 Ceramic Coating
Model 3 owners looking for easier cleaning, stronger gloss and a long-term alternative to traditional wax can be an excellent fit for ceramic coating.
Watch My Model 3 Project →Model S Ceramic Coating
Eligible new Model S vehicles can receive the same professional preparation standards and paint-only or full-exterior protection options.
Model X Ceramic Coating
Model X owners can protect the painted exterior alone or extend the package across additional exterior glass, wheels, plastics and trim.
Cybertruck Is a Different Conversation
The stainless exterior is fundamentally different from the conventional painted surfaces on a Model Y, Model 3, Model S or Model X.
Contact me first if you want to discuss Cybertruck protection.
Tesla owners ask about interior protection more than almost any other brand.
Light-colored seating, minimalist interior surfaces and heavily used cargo areas create plenty of questions about protecting a new Tesla inside as well as outside.
Interior ceramic protection can be added separately when it makes sense for how you use the vehicle.
The goal is easier cleanup and additional protection against normal spills and contamination.
It is not a blanket promise that an interior becomes impossible to stain or damage.
The 2027 Model Y above received both interior and exterior protection.
If interior coating is something you are considering, that project gives you a real example of combining both services on a brand-new Tesla rather than treating the interior as an afterthought later.
Paint only or full exterior.
Protect the painted surfaces.
If your main concern is the Tesla's paint, you do not need to build a larger package just because more options exist.

Current pricing is handled through the calculator so you are not relying on an old webpage with an outdated package price.
The answer depends more on your expectations than the Tesla badge.
Owning a new Tesla does not automatically mean you should spend money on ceramic coating.
It makes sense when the benefits line up with how you drive, wash and maintain the vehicle.
I built a short ceramic coating fit quiz to help you figure that out before requesting a quote.
